Last night saw the launch of the 2018 Adelaide Motorsport Festival “RACE TO THE CITY” film and also the launch of the event itself. Featuring numerous big names and amazing locations, I was fortunate enough to have played a very small part in the production (assisting with drone capture and some onboard shots with Andrew from Pixels With Altitude) which was headed up by Adelaide DOP Brad Day and directed by event manager Tim Possingham.
For those of you who haven’t heard of the event, to give you a brief description of what it’s all about, it’s a whole stack of automotive awesomeness over two days using the Victoria Park section of the once great Adelaide Formula One circuit.
Two years ago I was lucky enough to take part in driving a locally built car called an Ultra Race Car, a 13B rotary powered full tube chassis creation build by a fabricator friend. Needless to say I had an absolute ball!
Anyway, enough about me, check out the film and last years film if you haven’t seen it, and most importantly, if you haven’t been, get on a plane and head to Adelaide to check it out!
